How to make cold process soap?
"Cold process soaps are made by combining oils and sodium hydroxide, it causes a chemical reaction called saponification."
After melting my oils and butters and preparing my lye water solution, I combine both of them in a big container and blend until past emulsion. Quickly the mixture will saponify and start becoming thicker: this is what is called a trace.

Once I reach the desired texture, I split the batch into different buckets to add my colorants and fragrances.

It is now time for pouring into the mould and decorating the top!

I then cover the soap and then let it sit for about 24h to let it harden. After that, it will be cut into bars which will cure for 4 to 6 weeks to allow excess water to evaporate.
